Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been won on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player secured his first title for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has endured a torrid year, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in particular - caused him falling of the top ten and ultimately separating with long-time mentor Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's maiden championship following the Rome competition and maiden on a hard court from March of that year.
Success also indicates he has achieved twenty-one championships at 21 various tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," said world number 14 Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and recurring emotional displays on court had caused some to question if his ability to play at the elite level was over.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and play assertively, supported by an better serve.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, securing four of the final five points to go ahead.
The pair traded service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden professional championship, gained dominance to create a decider.
Moutet defended four early opportunities in a close final set before Medvedev secured a break to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, he secured the win with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
